Using PricebyText in 3 Easy Steps:
1) Send text message of name or part number of the product you want information on to 123411.

2) Reply with the letter that best relates to your product.

PriceByText delivers the content as specific as possible depending on the query that was submitted to the engine. If this information does not include a unique part number then several options (models, makes etc) may be delivered.

There is NO charge for using this service. However, depending on your phone plan, your wireless carrier may apply a small fee (~$0.15) for sending a text message.

PriceByText is currently only available in Canada. The plan calls for expanding this service into the United States as soon as possible though this will likely not occur until sometime in the second half of 2008.

Most likely, you will. Sometimes it can take up to 12-hours to receive text messages over the Canadian wireless networks. While PriceByText generally provides the requested information within seconds, delays can happen. If no message arrives, please contact Customer Service at 416-410-9919.

PriceByText does its best to source information on as many products as possible. While there are a vast number of products in our database, there are some products that we will not have and will not be able to send to you. We apologize for this but are continually refining the MMI platform and will hope to find your product in due course.

Try refining the search query by making the search either more specific or more general. This will broaden the range of the queried products in the database and may turn up the product you are looking for.

Text Messaging or SMS (Short Message Service) is a method of sending textual messages on your mobile phone by keying in letters using your dial-pad.

Text messages are limited to 160-characters (hence the term “short”).

PriceByText is a service that allows you to text message a product name or part number in order to receive the best price and retailer that our tool is able to locate on the internet or in our databases.

A short-code is a 5 or 6 digit number that can be interacted via text message in order to perform a function (vote, reply to enter a contest, or request search for information). Our service uses the short-code 123411.

Text messaging charges vary by wireless carrier but generally range from $0.10 to $0.15 per message. Some monthly plans include free text messages. There is no additional charge for using PriceByText.
